BERMUDA RUN — Canvas Residential Partners and Kelley Properties plan a 141-home build-to-rent community in Davie County, with site work expected to begin this month and the first homes scheduled for spring 2028.
The planned community, called Wellstead at Kinderton Farms, would include 128 rental townhomes and 13 detached single-family homes. The townhomes are expected to range from 1,200 to 1,700 square feet, with two to four bedrooms and two-car garages. Some would include private backyards.
The detached homes are planned at 1,900 to 2,100 square feet, with four bedrooms and two-car garages. The developers said the community would include a clubhouse and leasing center overlooking a lake, along with a wellness center, swimming pool, resident lounge, dog park and neighborhood sidewalks.
Kelley Properties has worked on the project for about three years, including entitlement work, securing sewer capacity and coordination with local officials and stakeholders, according to the developer announcement.
The site is near Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Davie Medical Center and the Interstate 40 and N.C. 801 interchange, connecting the project to Bermuda Run and the broader Winston-Salem employment market.
The announcement describes a planned project, not completed construction. The developers did not disclose a financing amount, expected rents, total investment or employment estimate.
