CHARLOTTE – Dentsply North America LLC has been added to a federal dental-supply contract vehicle with a maximum value of $49.5 million, giving the Charlotte company access to federal orders through September 2031.
The Defense Logistics Agency award notice, posted Sept. 23, identifies the work as a fixed-price contract with economic-price adjustment for dental consumable items sold through the agency’s Electronic Catalog. The government listed North Carolina as the location of performance.
The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity structure sets a ceiling rather than guaranteeing that the full $49.5 million will be ordered. The notice says the five-year ordering period ends Sept. 22, 2031.
The Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies may use the contract. The Defense Logistics Agency said the award followed a competitive acquisition that drew 17 offers and will use defense working-capital funds from fiscal 2026 through 2031.
Dentsply North America is a subsidiary of Dentsply Sirona, whose 2025 annual report identifies Charlotte as its worldwide headquarters. The public company develops and sells dental equipment, dental products and health care consumables. It reported $3.68 billion in net sales for 2025 and said it also operates a leased innovation center in Charlotte.
The award expands a federal sales channel for the Charlotte company and places the performance location in North Carolina. The government notice did not identify a guaranteed order amount, new hiring or a facility expansion tied to the award.
