STONEVILLE – Reshoring Textiles has acquired Sans Technical Fibers, changing control of a 125-employee Rockingham County manufacturer of specialty nylon and polyester yarn.
The acquisition was announced Oct. 8. Sans will operate as a sister company to Spinnere within Reshoring Textiles. John Garner was named chief executive of Sans, and Robert Antoshak was named chief marketing officer of the parent company. The companies did not disclose financial terms.
NC State University’s Manufactured in North Carolina database lists Sans at 4721 Highway 770 East in Stoneville and says the operation employs 125 people. The database identifies the company as a manufacturer of nylon 6.6 and polyester yarns with export markets in Asia, Europe, North America and South America.
The Reshoring Textiles announcement carried by Textile World said Sans produces high-tenacity low-denier nylon 6.6 and polyester yarns for sewing thread, narrow fabrics, braided cords and other technical textiles. Its end markets include apparel, footwear, medical, military, automotive and manufactured-rubber products.
Reshoring said the acquisition adds domestic filament production to its group. The announcement also said Sans has new extrusion equipment on the way, but it did not disclose the equipment’s cost, expected capacity, installation date or any related hiring.
Independent Ecotextile reporting confirmed the completed acquisition, the new leadership and the addition of domestic filament capacity. It also reported that the transaction terms were not disclosed.
The immediate North Carolina business consequence is the completed change of control at an established Rockingham County manufacturing operation. The available sources do not announce layoffs, job additions, a plant closure or a new capital-investment total, so this report does not infer those outcomes.
